The Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) is an independent, non-profit organization that works to legitimatize and spread the practice of solutions journalism — compelling reporting about responses to urgent social problems. SJN is building SolutionsU, a set of tools to support the teaching of social innovation, centered around the Solutions Story Tracker: a database of 1,700+ solutions stories around the globe.

We are looking for an energetic student who will support our team’s work. We pay $11/hour for up to 20 hours/week. Your activites will include:
  • Updating contact data and reporting for our Salesforce CRM (contact relationship management) system, connected to our impact tracking, contact relationship, and donor management. Recording contacts from our CEO into the CRM software, distilling by region for easy access for future visits. Complete and record article collection of Solutions Journalism stories from newsroom sub-grant reports.
  • Administrative tasks related to event planning, expense management, reimbursements for travel, trip preparation and team travel planning for speaking events.
  • Mapping and indexing our many administrative resources and documents.
