I'm a designer, developer and data journalist. I left conventional newsrooms in April 2021 to start Code Black Media, a digital media consultancy that lives at the intersection of data, design and equity. One year later, I introduced AfroLA, a nonprofit newsroom that covers Los Angeles through the lens of the Black community with nuanced explanatory and solutions journalism.
