I direct News Ambassadors, a project enlisting college journalism students to help local newsrooms fill gaps in coverage of underreported communities with rigorously-reported stories uplifting solutions and common ground. I am a longtime public radio journalist who has reported for NPR, Marketplace and other outlets from the US and abroad. I teach radio and am a 2023-24 Complicating the Narratives (CTN) Fellow and solutions journalism/CTN trainer.
