Emily Tkaczibson

Emily Anne Tkaczibson is Director of Operations and Development for Student Reporting Labs, a journalism education program of PBS News. Emily is passionate about storytelling and authentic representation in media. She believes that Solutions Journalism is key to journalism’s future, bringing together facts, relevancy, and – critically – hope to create compelling reporting. With seven years of experience in public media and a background in theatre and literary arts, Emily deeply values participatory learning, collaborative thinking, and real-world application of learned skills. Originally from Pennsylvania with a five-year stint in Southern California, Emily is settled in Portland, OR.
