Ja'Nel Johnson-Phillips

Ja'Nel Johnson-Phillips (she/her) is SJN’s Director of Training & Curriculum: She leads on developing training and resources for our network and works with partners to learn about best practices and co-create materials. Ja'Nel is an accomplished journalist who has created a wide range of stories for radio, television and digital platforms. She has long had a passion for reporting on the Black experience and elevating the voices of underrepresented communities. Ja'Nel is a graduate of Claflin University and Northwestern University. She joined SJN in 2021.
