Jefferson Massah is a seasoned media development practitioner with more than 10 years of extensive journalism training design and facilitation expertise. This role in media development and journalism highlights Jefferson’s dedication to using media as a tool for public good.

As Senior Advisor for a USAID-funded media project implemented by Internews Liberia, Jefferson coordinates support to media CSO, individual journalists, and community radio stations across Liberia to enhance the professional quality of the media sector.

Jefferson Massah has received prestigious accolades, including the George Atkins Communication Award for African Radio Producer from Farm Radio International based in Ottawa, Canada, and the Press Union of Liberia Development Journalist Award in succession (2011&2012).

Jefferson Massah was among a select group of radio producers contracted by BBC Media Action to report on the Ebola outbreak in Liberia in 2014. His work during this critical period showcased his ability to produce impactful and timely content, contributing to public awareness and crisis management.

Jefferson earned a certificate in multi-regional broadcast journalism as a US State Department fellow and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from the School of Global Affairs and Policy, at Cuttington University, Liberia.
