SJN’s Climate Peer Network connects climate journalists, both reporters and editors, to enhance storytelling. With more than 700 members from 38 countries, the network hosts monthly meetings for sharing insights and resources, fostering a global community.

If you’re a climate reporter looking to brainstorm ideas for solutions stories and build connections beyond your newsroom, the Climate Peer Network is for you: Since its launch in August 2023, it has steadily grown and now connects over 700 climate journalists and editors from 38 countries. It’s a collaborative space to share knowledge and best practices on climate solutions reporting. Members meet online every second Thursday of the month, and discussions are guided by their priorities. Climate experts also join some sessions to provide insights. Recent topics include climate visuals, decolonizing climate coverage, and the intersection of climate reporting with two of SJN’s other core areas: democracy and youth mental health. Joining is simple — fill out this form here and register for the Zoom meetings here.
