Journalism has focused too much on the ruptures in society and missed the opportunity to investigate (or even help build) some of the bridges, says SJNer Nina Fasciaux in her TEDxParis talk, "Journalisme, un métier du lien" ("Journalism, a profession of connection"). Her talk and her book "Mal entendus" center on how journalism must listen deeply and compassionately to help overcome the immense political and social divides of this era.
