Anastasia Rudenko

Anastasiia is the award-winning founder and editor-in-chief of the independent Ukrainian media outlet Rubryka. In 2019–2020, with the support of the International Center for Journalists, she became the author of a popular documentary series about environmental problems in Ukraine. Now Rubryka’s team is producing and spreading solution-focused reporting on how Ukrainians are coping with the consequences of war. Anastasiia is a laureate of the “30 to 30” Award of the Georgy Gongadze Prize.

In addition, Anastasiia, who is from Eastern Ukraine, is the publisher and media manager of the leading independent regional media outlet Eastern Variant. Now she is the initiator of the network media platform Recovery Window for coverage, research and advocacy of reconstruction processes in Ukraine.

This year Anastasiia is a Solutions Journalism Network LEDE Fellow.
