Emma Löfgren

Emma Löfgren is a senior digital news editor who believes journalism can help people find their place in the world. She leads The Local Sweden’s award-winning newsroom in reporting on issues that affect the lives of foreign professionals in Sweden, and is also the deputy managing editor of The Local Europe’s pan-European newsroom. Emma has years of experience working on solutions journalism stories. She is a contributor to The Fix and mentor for Digital Women Leaders and Journalism Mentors. In 2021 she was a graduate of ONA’s Women’s Leadership Accelerator. Before joining The Local in 2015, she worked in local news in Scotland.
