Meet Amy Brady, SJN’s New Vice President of Development

Amy Brady

The Solutions Journalism Network is excited to welcome our new vice president of development, Amy Brady. Amy comes to SJN with an extensive background in nonprofit leadership and climate journalism. Most recently she served as the executive director and publisher of Orion, a nonprofit magazine that publishes long-form journalism about art, culture and the environment.

As a journalist, Amy has worked to cover communities impacted first and hardest by the effects of climate change, publishing stories in The New Republic, the Houston Chronicle, The Dallas Morning News, the Village Voice and O, The Oprah Magazine. She has served as the deputy publisher of Guernica magazine, the editor-in-chief of the Chicago Review of Books and a contributing editor for Scientific American. Amy is the co-editor of a collection of climate essays entitled “The World As We Knew It: Dispatches From a Changing Climate.”
