We love to spotlight newsrooms and journalists doing great work. Still, we take a special pleasure in seeing others spotlight their work. That’s happened twice recently.

On Dec. 3, Columbia Journalism Review featured the work of the international climate outlet Mongabay. With a whopping 163 stories in the Solutions Story Tracker, it’s one of the most prolific solutions journalism outlets anywhere, and CJR explores in detail how Mongabay keeps journalists safe and prioritizes finding stories that might otherwise go untold.

And on Nov. 19, NiemanLab turned its lens on The Green Line, a community-focused newsroom in Toronto trying to make journalism accessible and helpful, including via a healthy dose of solutions reporting. Highlighting the outlet’s unique approach to both coverage and revenue, this piece is definitely worth a read.
