Ashley Hopkinson

Ashley Hopkinson (she/her) is SJN's Solutions Insights Lab Manager: She manages the SJN initiative that uses qualitative research to surface insights about what's working and why in the field of social innovation. Ashley previously led SJN's inaugural Journalists of Color Fellowship dedicated to supporting the next generation of emerging media leaders. Prior to that, she led SJN's first Health Equity Initiative focused on advancing the public health conversation around health disparities. Ashley graduated from UC Berkeley with a master's degree in journalism and has worked in U.S. newsrooms for more than 15 years, leading coverage on health, immigration, education, criminal justice and the arts.
