Sharon Bloyd-Peshkin

Sharon Bloyd-Peshkin is a Professor of Journalism at Columbia College Chicago, where she was awarded the 2022 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Teaching Activism Award. A member of the 2019 and 2022 Solutions Journalism Educators Academies, Sharon has taught Solutions Journalism at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and has trained faculty at other universities to teach Solutions Journalism. She has also presented on Solutions Journalism at conferences for high school students and their media advisors, and is completing a research paper on how Solutions Journalism is being adopted by branded content. Sharon is currently adapting the Solutions Journalism lens for a college-wide course she is teaching.
