Meet the 2024–25 Solutions Journalism Student Media Challenge Cohort

Last year’s Student Media Challenge newsrooms produced a tool for student journalists’ mental health, a video game, a resource fair, a massive collaboration and much more. Now, eight new student news outlets have been selected for the 2024-25 cohort. They’ll spend the year covering youth mental health through a solutions lens with training, funding and support from SJN. In a time when student media is as important as ever, we encourage you to learn more about the schools selected and their ambitious projects.
